Our food was good but honestly I was hoping better for all the positive reviews. No reservation was allowed but we went on a Saturday evening around 730 and were told an hour. We only waited 30 minutes. There were many other places to check out near by.
I’ve been coming to Tony’s since I was teenager. It’s always affordable, delicious, and consistent. You cant beat the house made bread and dipping oil. Then the locally made pasta. And finally, dessert. I’ve been getting the low country linguine for 10 years and the black pepper linguine deserves a shoutout. It’s the star. It’s perfectly proportioned with the shellfish and Alfredo.
Plan ahead Tony’s is a popular place to go for a meal in Chattanooga and rightly so the pasta is homemade and phenomenal service. Expect to wait if you don’t arrive early they have a wide ranged menu of Italian favorites. I hope that the owners plan a A renovation in the very near future for a restaurant that size a one stall women’s restroom is just not up to par. I saw women going in the men’s restroom because of the line at the women’s that’s just not called for if you have a restaurant of this caliber That was my only crime. The service was phenomenal. The food was excellent just make sure you go to the bathroom before you go out to dinner at Tony’s or weight line if you are a woman.
Tony’s served some of the best pasta and bread I’ve eaten in a long while. Everything I tasted was delicious and will be back any time I’m in Chattanooga. The portion sizes are huge. The basil pesto cream sauce makes my mouth water just thinking about it. They also serve fresh baked loaves of bread with olive oil that you could dine on by itself. There are a few kids’ options, pizza was ordered and looked good and very cheesy. I definitely recommend Tony’s!
We were told about this place by a Chatt native, and it did not disappoint! They make almost everything in house, and it tastes like heaven! I got the pesto cream, and it was the best pesto I’ve ever had! The waiter said they grow their own pesto and make it from scratch!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tony’s Pasta Shop & Trattoria in Chattanooga, TN, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Nestled in the charming Bluff View Art District, this spot exudes a cozy, Old World Italian vibe that instantly makes you feel at home. The setting—a historic carriage house with options for indoor seating or a scenic outdoor patio—adds a special touch to the meal, especially with those beautiful river views. The food was the real star of the show. I opted for the “Create Your Own Pasta” and went with the Spinach and Roasted Garlic Ravioli paired with a creamy basil pesto cream sauce and grilled chicken. The pasta was clearly handmade, with a perfect texture. The flavors were fresh and bold, no doubt thanks to the herbs and veggies sourced from their own garden. The complimentary table bread from Bluff View Bakery, served with olive oil and pecorino cheese, was a delightful bonus—warm, crusty, and so good I had to pace myself to save room for the main course. Service was friendly and attentive, though it’s worth noting they don’t take reservations, so arriving early might be a smart move, especially on weekends. My server was knowledgeable about the menu and quick to offer suggestions, which I appreciated because I had no idea which sauce to choose for my ravioli! Her recommendation was delicious! Portions were generous, the atmosphere was inviting, and the prices felt fair for the quality—my pasta dish was around 16.50 and 5.00 extra to add chicken, a steal for something so well-crafted. Tony’s isn’t trying to reinvent Italian cuisine; it’s just doing the classics really, really well. If you’re in Chattanooga and craving a hearty, authentic Italian meal, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town!
We had such a wonderful experience at Tony’s Italian Cuisine! My husband and I drove all the way from Scottsboro, AL just to enjoy their amazing pasta—and it was absolutely worth it. The pasta sauce was incredibly flavorful, rich, and delicious—truly some of the best we’ve ever had! Rigatoni with tomatoe spinach sauce. Our waiter, Aaron, took great care of us the entire time. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure our drinks were always full without us even having to ask. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the food made us feel like we were getting a true taste of Italy. We can’t wait to come back again! Highly recommend Tony’s if you’re looking for authentic Italian food and excellent service.
My husband and I were visiting Tennessee for our honeymoon and this place was recommended to us by a friend. There was an extremely long wait, however, I didn’t feel like it was truly going to be that long and I was right. We started our meal with the Fried Calamari and a Caesar Salad. Both were very good. I ordered the Salmon Entree and my husband ordered the Chicken Parm, both were also very good! For dessert we ordered the Italian Creme Cake and oh my goodness! I recommend this place and will be going here again the next time we visit the Chattanooga area!
